Mexico Travelers

Anita Olsen

Everett, WA

Anita Olsen was enjoying a family cruise for Christmas - what a wonderful treat for everyone. But December 25, 2008, SkyMed received a call from one of Anita Olson's sons, stating his mother had collapsed while on board the Carnival Spirit. No one ever expects a critical medical emergency occurring on a vacation, and this certainly wasn't the way the family had envisioned their Christmas vacation.

Anita wrote, "I went into cardiac arrest while walking on the top deck of the cruise ship en route to Acapulco, Mexico on Christmas Eve. I spent the first night in the ship's infirmary, and was transported to Topagayo Hospital in Acapulco on the 25th . One of my sons called SkyMed, and he was told arrangements were being made for an air ambulance to return me to my hospital in Everett (more than3,500 miles away)."

"I was more than pleased; I was totally impressed with SkyMed's response! And have been recommending SkyMed to many of our friends and would be surprised if not at least a few of them purchased SkyMed."

"Incidentally, I did have triple bypass surgery in my own hospital and am recovering very nicely."

Members of SkyMed since 2006, without SkyMed the Olson's would have paid $43,250 to have Anita transported from Acapulco to Everett, WA.

Their only cost? The price of their SkyMed annual membership - about a dollar a day.
