SkyMed acquires International Medical Assistance

SkyMed International, Inc., a Scottsdale, AZ based emergency air-transport membership service provider, has acquired International Medical Assistance based in Napa Valley, CA.

 International Medical Assistance (IMA) has provided emergency travel assistance services to those who travel for nearly 20 years.  With an existing member base, SkyMed will continue to market the IMA products and services under the IMA name throughout the North American Continent.

SkyMed has provided its own TAKES YOU HOME services to travelers who are residents of the United States and Canada since 1989.  When a SkyMed member is more than 100 miles from home and suffers a critical illness or accident, SkyMed coordinates and pays for all related costs to move their member and their families back to their home area hospitals.  This may involve air-ambulance jet travel as well as vehicle transport, dependent children return and more.

With the acquisition of IMA, SkyMed adds to its services full travel assistance to those traveling throughout the world.
